Summer Camp for Children with Disabilities Empowers Mongolians and Provides New Perspectives
Alumni from this year’s State Department-funded Sports United Exchange Program from the Mongolian Sitting Volleyball Association organized the very first sports camp for disabled children in Mongolia.

Alumni Association Monthly lecture series Inform students about studying Urban Planning and Business Administration in the U.S.

At the American Corner, MASA hosted Monthly Speaker Series to public for Mongolians who want to study in the U.S. Our talk for October was about Studying Urban Planning in the U.S. and given by Ms. Tuya Zorig, a Fulbright Alumni.

Mongolia’s First President Featured for Launch of Alumni Association’s Distinguished Speaker Program
OnOct.17, MASA held a very successful launch of the new program titled “Distinguished Speaker Program”. Inaugurating the program was Mr. P. Ochirbat, the first President of Mongolia. Mr. Ochirbat talked to a packed house of 250 and gave a historic overview of the democratic movement and government in Mongolia.

Public Affairs Promotes U.S. Scholarship, English Language Learning During Outreach Trip to Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii Provinces
During Oct.21-25, the U.S. Embassy’s Public Affairs Section organized an educational alumni outreach trip to Mongolia’s two most western provinces.  During the visit, the team met with local educational, cultural, and government officials, representatives from civil society organizations, and Peace Corps Volunteers.

Our talk for May was about studying Energy in the U.S. Mr. Bavuudorj Ovgor, Deputy Director for Project Research at the National Renewable Energy Center, shared his experience of pursuing a Master’s degree at Texas Tech University as a Fulbright student.

Mongolian Fulbright Alumni Participate in Run 4 Water
This May 10 was the International School of Ulaanbaatar's 5th annual Run 4 Water race. This event is a fundraiser to raise awareness about the lack of sanitary water in many areas, and, in Mongolia's case, the poor access to clean water in the ger districts, which house much of Ulaanbaatar’s population.
