Alumni Association Monthly lecture series Inform students about studying science and IT in the U.S.
MASA in collaboration with the American Information and Culture Center has been organizing talks for the young professionals and students on studying in the U.S.. These talks are all area-specific and give people information on specific profession/filed that they are interested in. Since September 2013, the talks covered many areas including international relations, public health, legal studies, biology, and public policy studies.

Mongolian Fulbright Alumni Participate in Run 4 Water
This May 10 was the International School of Ulaanbaatar's 5th annual Run 4 Water race. This event is a fundraiser to raise awareness about the lack of sanitary water in many areas, and, in Mongolia's case, the poor access to clean water in the ger districts, which house much of Ulaanbaatar’s population.

Congressional Delegation Met with Alumni of State Department Programs
On May 16, as part of their official visit to Mongolia, Congressman Steve Chabot from Ohio and Congressman Stephen Lynch from Massachusetts met with 12 alumni who have participated in U.S. government exchange programs.

IVLP Alumni Reception Brings Together Mongolian Leaders in Government, Banking, and Education
Ambassador Campbell hosted a reception for a select group of International Visitor Leadership Program alumni. Guests had participated in IVLP programs between 2002 and 2014. The reception was an outreach effort to maintain engagement with targeted alumni in influential fields.

Ambassador Joins Sitting Volleyball Team at Event Sharing Team’s U.S. Exchange Experiences
The Mongolian alumni of the Sports United program organized an event to share with others the impact of the Sports United exchange program that they were a part of. The 11 female players and their coach organized an exhibition game and presentation on June 5 to share their experiences.

Volunteer Training Focuses on Disability Issues
On June 27, Ms. Otgontuya, a 2010 VolVis program alumna and the head of the BIDCHADNA NGO, hosted a disability volunteer training program to 30 volunteers and disability advocates at the American Cultural and Information Center (ACIC).

MASA Brings Alumni Together for U.S. Independence Day Celebrations:
On July 4, 2014, MASA hosted its third U.S. Independence Day celebrations with Mongolian U.S. alumni. July 4 has become a traditional event for MASA and this year the event took place at the Shiboya open terrace restaurant on the Friday evening of July 4.

Mongolia receives two winning projects in AEIF!
Each year the members of the International Exchange Alumni website compete for funding to make their innovative ideas reality. Out of more than 1,000 project ideas and 187 finalists, the alumni office will be supporting 50+ strong alumni-led programs globally. We are very proud to announce that two projects from Mongolia were selected among the final 50 projects.
